AC Milan. The team that spent more than £160m this summer isn’t exactly having the best start to a fresh Calcio A season. Being 8th in the league with that money and great history, their board and president should be feeling really ashamed. It turns out Leonardo Bonucci, new summer signing isn’t good enough in Milan to power up the team’s engine, considering they have scored as many goals they have conceded, 16 to be exact. AC Milan has the defence, but what they need is a quality attack, if they want to catch up with league rivals Inter Milan in second, and Napoli in first.
Meanwhile, in France, Paris’ princes really has to catch with the teamwork train if they want to maintain their 1st place standing in Ligue 1. With constant fights between two of their best strikers Neymar Jr. and Edinson Cavani, considered to both have “best in the world” material, Unai Emery is fed up with his team. The 46-year-old just can’t find a way for the dangerous double to cooperate. Seeing Neymar’s and Mbappe’s partnership really destroying the defenses in other teams, there really is no place for the Uruguayan, in Paris anymore.
Considering PSG have a limited budget, because of outstanding signings like Dani Alves, Neymar Jr, and Kylian Mbappe and more, they are in desperate need of money. So the two sides strike a deal. However, even AC Milan are taking a huge risk, as finish below top four in Calcio A could mean bankruptcy for the Italian giants. For a hefty sum of £60m + the outstanding young Portuguese striker Andre Silva, which seems crazy as young players with great potential tend to be more expensive than 30-year-olds. Both players have signed 5-year-contracts, with the Portuguese star earning €125,000 a week and the Uruguayan almost doubling his(Andre Silva) salary at €265,000 a week.
