With Los Blancos having an outstanding season, winning the UEFA Champions League and La Liga, they were only inches away from the legendary treble. With Spanish wonder kid Alvora Morata joining Chelsea, and French international Karim Benzema in shambles, it’s clear The Whites need a young, quality striker. As Aubameyang was outstanding last season, winning the Bundesliga golden boot ahead of Robert Lewandowski, the Gabon international seems set to leave. Real Madrid did not make any star signings this season with club officials saying the team is good the way it is, even though they lost Colombian star James Rodriguez to Bayern Munich on loan. The striker also revealed earlier that he promised a move to Real Madrid to his grandfather, and ever since has been linked to the club.
With Real Madrid beating Borrusia Dortmund 3-1 in a recent Champions league encounter, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane exchanged a few words with the speedster regarding the transfer. Zidane also claimed he will not hesitate to make Benzema a bench-warmer despite the French star earning £150,000 a week and having a buyout clause of €1,000,000,000 (1 billion euros).
The deal recently got CONFIRMED when both Dortmund and Real Madrid confirmed the deal on social media, with Dortmund tweeting #AufWiedersehenAubameyang (#GoodByeAubameyang). Borussia Dortmund manager, Peter Bosz said he hopes former Dortmund star Robert Lewandowski returns to the club as a replacement, and as the Polish striker is having disputes with the club, the move could be likely. Back to Aubameyang, he will join Los Blancos for a reported €108 million (including add-ons), earning a mind boggling €200,000 after tax.
