Situation: Despite Los Blancos winning the UEFA Champions League and the La Liga Santander, the season's been pretty rough for Welsh right-winger Gareth Bale. With 21-year-old goal machine Marco Asensio in outstanding form and Isco and Vasquez also in exceptional form, there isn’t a future or place for the Welshmen in the club.
Things began to look upon Wednesday when The Whites manager Zinedine Zidane confirmed Bale is up for sale. Excluding Davinson Sanchez and Serge Aurier, Tottenham Hotspurs weren't able to make any star signings this season, and they haven't had the best pre-season either. Mauricio Pochettino, the current manager of the Lily whites, declares that Spurs needs the speedster home before the transfer market can close. With the departure of Kyle Walker, Spurs need some balance on the right side, and Gareth Bale would really tighten up the Tottenham attack. Although Spurs have the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Heung-Ming Son, Alli and Eriksen have gained interest from top clubs such as Barcelona and are keen to leave. Mauricio realized if he wants a shot at winning their first Premier League title since the 1960-61 season, re-signing the Welshmen would be essential.
According to multiple sources, Real Madrid has ACCEPTED a £62.8 million bid from Spurs along with £2 million in bonuses. Bale and his agent will travel to London on Monday to get the signature on the paper, for about £260,000 per week.
